TITLE: Players Sports Bar Cook and Associates Dining Room (ADR) Cook
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED, WILLING TO TRAIN!
QUALIFIES FOR JOB-SPECIFIC INCENTIVE PROGRAM: BONUS PAY after 30 days=$25, 90 days=$50, and 180 days=$75
DEPARTMENT: ADR/Sports Bar / Food and Beverage
REPORTS TO: Executive Chef
SUPERVISES: ADR/Sports Bar Staff
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS PROFILE: Experience preferred in line cooking at full service restaurant with a minimum of two years in a leadership role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Competent at all stations in the ADR/Sports Bar kitchen, AM or PM shift. 2. Able and willing to work any station as needed AM or PM shifts. 3. Takes responsibility for all food produced by kitchen staff. 4. Will train all new cooks at any and all stations as needed, AM or PM shifts as needed. 5. Will keep kitchen staff motivated and busy. 6. Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen. 7. Assist Executive Chef as needed. 8. Will assume a leadership role in the kitchen. 9. Assist Executive Chef with controlling food and labor costs. 10. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 11. Regular attendance punctuality necessary. 12. Regular punctuality necessary. 13. Available and willing to work any changes in hours on the schedule at any time during employment.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: Presents oneself as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel and encourages others to do so also.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES: 1. Organized and efficient. 2. Self-motivated. 3. Strong culinary knowledge. 4. Strong skill level at all cooking stations. 5. Good teaching skills. 6. Good communication skills and teamwork. 7. Ability to produce consistent food products.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Able to lift 50 lbs frequently. 2. Twist, bend and squat frequently. 3. Tolerate heat and congestion in kitchen. 4. Stand for long periods of time. 5. Good coordination and awareness.
