TITLE: Golf Shop Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Dacotah Ridge Golf Course
REPORTS TO: Golf Pro On Duty
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Basic knowledge of golf and golf shop operations a plus. Must meet departmental golf cart operational policy. Friendly, outgoing, enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with people in a fast paced environment. Committed to providing the highest level of customer service and attention.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Greet all guests in friendly courteous manner. 2. Spread hospitality and goodwill among all guests and promotes Dacotah Ridge Golf Club. 3. Control of guest play including: Tee times, green fee, driving range and cart billing, pair players into groups and monitor pace of play. 4. Know and enforce all Golf Club rules. 5. Manage golf shop counter, answer phone calls and handle phone messages. 6. Sell Golf Shop merchandise. Working knowledge of inventory in stock. 7. Keep Golf Shop neat and clean at all times including folding and shelving merchandise. 8. Receive, price and stock merchandise. 9. Assist Professional staff with tournament preparation and administration. 10. Monitor weather conditions and have a complete understanding of the Club’s weather warning system. 11. Assist when required with the outside service operations. 12. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 13. Regular attendance necessary. 14. Regular punctuality necessary. 15. Available and willing to work any changes in hours on the schedule at anytime during employment.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: Present oneself as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel and encourage others to do so also.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES: 1. Knowledge of golf operations. 2. Customer service skills. 3. Knowledge of golf equipment and apparel. 4. People skills. 5. Must be flexible to work nights and weekends.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Normal mobility throughout the facility. 2. Extensive walking. 3. Bending and stooping repeatedly.
