TITLE: Finance Director

DEPARTMENT: Finance

REPORTS TO: General Manager

SUPERVISES: Count Team, Cage, Warehouse, Accounting, Audit Operational Compliance

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS PROFILE: Five years of experience in a gaming finance management position; preferably in a Native American casino. Requires strong knowledge base of finance, accounting and compliance requirements of the gaming industry. Ability to advise management regarding financial reporting and control systems. Requires Bachelors Degree in Accounting.

FUNCTION: Directs the development and establishment of policies, systems and procedures to assure the effectiveness of financial planning, reporting, management and controls. Develops and manages a staff to provide support in all areas of responsibility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Develops and monitors all financial management and accounting systems, both manual and computerized, to satisfy reporting requirements including cash flow, profit and loss, balance sheet, budgeting, forecasting, lodge and retail accounting, etc. 2. Analyzes financial data, trends, forecasts, etc. and recommends appropriate action. 3. Manages the material’s management function including purchasing, receiving, warehousing and internal distribution. 4. Monitors all operations for opportunities for improvement of procedures, controls, profitability, etc. 5. Investigates questionable occurrences to assure protection of assets and adequacy of controls. 6. Assures organization is adequately prepared to meet timelines for all internal and external audits. 7. Assures regulatory compliance with TICS, IRS and State Compact requirements. 8. Leads finance team in accomplishing department and organizational goals. 9. Analyzes proposals to assure adherence to business strategy and return-on-investment criteria. 10. Regular attendance necessary. 11. Regular punctuality necessary. 12. Available and willing to work any changes in hours on the schedule at anytime during employment. 13. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
