TITLE: Guest Room Attendant

DEPARTMENT: Lower Sioux Lodge Operations / Sales and Marketing

REPORTS TO: Lower Sioux Lodge Executive Housekeeper or Guest Room Inspector


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS PROFILE: Housekeeping experience is helpful.

INCENTIVE PROGRAM: At the end of 90-days of employment the employee should be able to clean 14 rooms per day. If the employee can clean more than 8 rooms they will qualify for the incentive program which is $1.00 per finished room.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Strip all rooms and empty soiled linen at break.  All soiled linen should be down by 2:30 pm. 2. Remove all trash from rooms. 3. Make beds with clean linen. 4. Dust all surfaces. 5. Vacuum corners, edges, under curtains, under beds and next to nightstand. 6. Restock room with fresh linens and amenities. 7. Sanitize the entire bathroom. 8. Clean coffee maker. 9. Wash tile and floors. 10. Spot wash walls as needed. 11. Report any maintenance issue or damage to the rooms. 12. Clean and stock cart and linen closet. 13. Wash windows as needed. 14. Regular attendance necessary. 15. Regular punctuality necessary.  16. Available and willing to work any changes in hours on the schedule at anytime during employment. 17. Provide guests with services such as general casino information and direction.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: Present oneself as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel and encourage others to do so also.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES: 1. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals. 2. General knowledge of room air conditioners and vacuums.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Able to lift up to 40 lbs. 2. Regular mobility throughout the hotel and outside. 3. Must be able to bend, twist and kneel continuously. 4. Uniform required.
