TITLE: Line Cook 2
DEPARTMENT: Kitchen / Food & Beverage
REPORTS TO: Executive Sous Chef / Supervisor SUPERVISES: None
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS PROFILE: Experience preferred in line cooking at full service restaurant.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Competent at the Pantry station. 2. Competent at the Fry station. 3. Competent at the Sauté station. 4. Competent at the Broiler station. 5. Take direction from the Dacotah Restaurant Chef and Line Cook 1. 6. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 7. Regular attendance punctuality necessary. 8. Regular punctuality necessary. 9. Available and willing to work any changes in hours on the schedule at anytime during employment.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: Presents oneself as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel and encourages others to do so also.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES: 1. Good knife skills. 2. Good sanitary skills. 3. Knowledge of following culinary skills; frying, sautéing, broiling, basting, baking, poaching and roasting. 4. Able to cook steaks to temperature. 5. Organized and good sense of timing. 6. Good communication skills and teamwork. 7. Ability to produce consistent food products.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Able to lift 50 lbs frequently. 2. Twist, bend and squat frequently. 3. Tolerate heat and congestion in kitchen. 4. Stand for long periods of time. 5. Good coordination and awareness.
