TITLE: Wabasha Creek Cook
DEPARTMENT: Food and Beverage
REPORTS TO: Wabasha Creek Restaurant Supervisor
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Experience preferred in line cooking at full service restaurant.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Competent at all stations in the Dacotah Ridge kitchen. 2. Able and willing to work any station as needed AM or PM shifts. 3. Able to handle working alone; open and/or close kitchen. 4. Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen. 5. Maintain portion control in all related areas. 6. Take direction from the Dacotah Ridge Food and Beverage Manager. 7. Basic equipment knowledge. 8. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 9. Regular attendance necessary. 10. Regular punctuality necessary. 11. Available and willing to work any changes in hours on the schedule at anytime during employment.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: Present oneself as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel and Dacotah Ridge Golf Course and encourage others to do so also.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES: 1. Good safe and sanitary knife skills; sanitary knowledge and practice. 2. Able to follow recipes. 3. Knowledge of following culinary skills; fryer, sauteing, broiling, basting, baking, poaching and roasting. 4. Organized and good sense of timing. 5. Able to produce consistent food products 6. Self-motivated; able to work alone. 7. Strong skill level at all cooking stations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Able to lift 50 lbs frequently. 2. Twist, bend and squat frequently. 3. Tolerate heat in kitchen. 4. Standing for long periods of time. 5. Good coordinator and awareness.
